HM the Queen will be in Warringotn on Thursday 17 May, accompanied by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, as part of her ongoing  tour of the regions to mark her Diamond Jubilee.

Whilst in the Borough, she will open the newly completed £30M Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub. She will view the new cafe, library and learning spaces before officially opening the complex to the public. HRH The Duke of Edinburgh will then help local school children bury a time capsule at the site.

Local school children and young people will also provide dance and sports dislplays and a 1950’s style street party will be held by local groups and representatives outside a new community cabin.

Crowd entertainment wil be provided by a series of choirs and musical performances and Marines abseiling off the roof of the Hub building.
