There is a brand new event and feature in the village this year – a Village Christmas Tree!
The Village Choir will be leading in the singing of all your favourite carols – everyone is welcome to join in – when the new tree lights are switched on.
It is hoped that the tree can be the start of a new ‘tradition’ in the village. It has been partly funded by the Appleton Thorn Village Hall Beer Festival held in October and has been organised by Richard Pollock and Chris Massey.
We look forward to a great turn-out of villagers in support of the switch-on that will take place at 6:00pm on Saturday 5th December.
It is free to attend and take part and the Christmas spirit will extend into the Village Hall immediately afterwards – so think Real Ale, hot coffee and Gluewein!
