This successful event comes through the heart of the village once again this year – on Sunday 20th September.

Road closures will take place – but not to the extent of previous years as the route has been altered to include central Warrington, lessening the extent around the village.

The route comes into Appleton Thorn along Grappenhall Road as in previous years,  but turns right at the crossroads, down Lumb Brook Road rather than along Stretton Road. this will mean that residents off Pepper Street will probably not be shut in this year.

Generally access will be limited or unavailable from 05:00 and things are generally back to normal by 14:00 at the latest.

Come out and support the runners – many of whom are doing the event for charity!
