Consultation period opens for Appleton Thorn NDP – Until 1st August


Appleton Thorn NDPAppleton Parish Council have approved and submitted the Thorn Ward Neighbourhood Development Plan to Warrington Borough Council and there is now a 6 week  consultation period ending Aug 1st for all comments and representations.

In accordance with Regulation 15 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012, the Appleton Parish Thorn Ward Neighbourhood Plan has now been submitted to Warrington Borough Council by Appleton Parish Council.

The Neighbourhood Plan proposal relates to the Appleton Parish Thorn Ward designated neighbourhood area and to no other area. There are no other Neighbourhood Plans relating to that neighbourhood area.

The designation of the Appleton Parish Thorn Neighbourhood Plan area was approved by the council’s Executive Board on 26 May 2015. 

The plan proposal relates to planning matters (the use and development of land) and has been prepared in accordance with the statutory requirements and processes set out in the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 (as amended by the Localism Act 2011) and the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations 2012.

The submitted plan and associated documents are now subject to consultation in accordance with Regulation 16 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 and Is available to comment on between Monday 20th June 2016 on Monday 1st August 2016 until 5pm.

Any representations made may include a request to be notified of Warrington Borough Councils decision on the proposed plan. Representations must provide a contact name and address. Any comments you make will not be confidential and will be made publicly available, however your address and contact details will not be shown online.
